The "Green Transition" Madness Explained
through the Aristotelian conflict of Finance vs. Economics
Why “Green Transition” defies logic?
We observe that the theory of “Anthropogenic Climate Change (ACC)”, and the fervent support of it and the “Green Transition” by the European Union, has led to a dramatic increase in energy prices, which in turn has led to the collapse of industrial production, the closure of factories in Germany and in other European countries, but also to the increase in the cost of agricultural production and the dramatic deterioration of the rural economy. At the same time, cows are considered to contribute significantly to the ACC and are being slaughtered while synthetic meats and insect flours are being promoted. The above phenomena are not easily explained by logic, since ACC is disputed by many serious scientists and therefore is not scientifically documented as explained in our post: Τhe Crisis of Modern Science.
🏛️ The Aristotelian Critique of the “Green Transition”
Perhaps these phenomena can ultimately be better explained by the conflict of Finance with Economics and the complete control of the latter by Finance!!!
The current political and ecological agenda, often framed as the “Green Transition,” can be profoundly analyzed through the lens of Aristotelian philosophy as provided in his “Politics”. By applying the distinction between Oikonomikē (ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΚΗ)-Economics and Chrematistikē (ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙΣΤΙΚΗ)-Finance, we reveal that many modern policies lack Phronēsis (ΦΡΟΝΗΣΙΣ)-(practical wisdom) and serve interests far removed from the “Good Life” - “εὖ ζεῖν” of people!
1. The Dogma of ACC!
Aristotle famously noted in Metaphysics that in the realm of the contingent, things “may be otherwise” (Ἐνδέχεται ἄλλως ἔχειν), then the theory of “Anthropogenic Climate Change” (ACC) is imposed as an absolute dogma, silencing dissenting scientific voices, it ceases to be an inquiry of Logos and becomes an instrument of power. True science requires the acknowledgment of possibility and the constant re-evaluation of the Baseline (the Mean).
2. Chrematistikē (Χρηματιστική) as the True Driving Force
The “Green Transition” appears to function as a sophisticated mechanism of Chrematistikē (the unnatural art of wealth acquisition):
Carbon Markets: By transforming emissions into financial products, wealth is no longer generated through the production of tangible goods (Oikonomikē), but through the trade of the right to produce itself. This is the apotheosis of Chrematistikē.
Synthetic Foods and Insects: The push to replace natural livestock with lab-grown meats and insect-based flour represents a shift from Autarkeia (self-sufficiency of the farmer and the City) to total dependence on global corporations that hold the patents for these foods. This is the definition of limitless accumulation and control.
3. The Destruction of Autarkeia (Self-Sufficiency)
Aristotle taught that the purpose of the Polis is Autarkeia. When economic policies lead to:
De-industrialization (the closing of factories in Germany and elsewhere),
The collapse of the primary sector (the ruin of agricultural economy),
Energy Poverty (due to artificially inflated prices),
then these policies are strictly “Παρά φύσιν” (contrary to nature). Chrematistikē imposes dependence—through debt, patents, and subsidies—rather than fostering the autonomy of the citizens.
4. Violation of the Mesótēs (The Mean)
Scientific and rational judgment requires a Baseline.
Imposing drastic measures without properly defining the Mean (the natural historical climate fluctuations) constitutes Hybris (Ὓβρις).
The silencing of the “other side” violates the principle of the Mean, which in dialectics requires the examination of all evidence. When the primary sector is sacrificed for a contested theory, it is not a “mistake”; it is the conscious triumph of Chrematistikē over the real economy.
